Joining Mīharo, I bring with me over 25 years of experience in building meaningful connections across diverse cultural communities. My journey is deeply personal, supported by my husband and enriched by my role as a mother to six incredible children, all of whom have proudly participated on the Polyfest stage, embodying the spirit and traditions of our Māori heritage through their performances.

Our home is a vibrant canvas of Māori artistic traditions, from the delicate intricacies of flax weaving to the profound stories told through Whakairo carving. This environment has not only nurtured their talents but has also been my greatest source of inspiration in advocating for cultural inclusivity and understanding.

As I embark on this new chapter with Mīharo, I am driven by a vision to ensure that every individual, irrespective of their background, finds a voice and a stage to be seen and heard. My personal and professional experiences have shaped a unique perspective that I hope to bring to Mīharo, aiming to enrich our collective efforts in promoting cultural visibility and fostering community engagement. This is more than a role; it’s a continuation of my life’s work and passion, and I am excited to contribute to Mīharo’s mission and to further bridge cultures, celebrating the diversity that unites us.
